Mobile Marketing – Best Practices from Austria!
MobileMonday is back to school ;-) with a hands-on event on mobile marketing. Are you tired of hypothetical mobile marketing talk? You can’t hear them say mobile to be “the next big thing” anymore? Then join our next MobileMonday and enjoy the first Austrian MobileMarketing Challenge.

What is it, that Mobile Marketing can do for organisations in Austria?

Four companies are calling the (Mobile) Marketing experts of this country to come up with great concepts and ideas to support their overall marketing goals:

1.) NPO: The Red Cross in Austria wants to raise awareness for blood donations and attract people to donate blood more frequently, especially targeting at a younger demographic
2.) Quality comes first: The First American Bar, a great cocktail bar in Vienna, cares most about their loyal customers. They say they have 60 % recurring customers from local neighborhoods, so the barkeepers are looking to provide additional value and raise their ARPU through targeted loyalty programs using the mobile channel.
3.) Eye Factory is an eye specialist in Vienna with a new kind of “full ordination concept”, aiming to promote their innovative service offering, targeting at older demographics.
4.) And last but not least we came up with a virtual fmcg company called “Fresh Bubble Water“, looking to accompany the product launch of an innovative mouth water, that is supposed to replace classical teeth brushing, with the help of Mobile Marketing.

Participants may submit one or more mobile marketing concepts for the four companies. You find the campaign briefing, details and background information in the Submission Guidelines. Every one is welcome to submit a proposal. Just complete this submit form until September 10th. The top five concepts will be nominated to present on September 21st in the Museum of Natural History. An expert panel will give input on the concepts. The MobileMonday community will vote for their favourite concept.

The winner will receive a “Mobile Marketing Starter Package” which consists of a mobile portal and a mobile banner sponsored by Melon Mobile GmbH. On top of that Out There Media will place the mobile banner on the Vodafone Live! homepage. mobilkom austria provides complementary 500.000 ad impressions (value approx. 30.000 Euro).
